Mellow and flavourful, some of the eastern malts tend to be a little like some of the Speyside Malts.

These malts tend to be sweeter, fruiter and finely balanced.

Distinctive and pungent. Influenced by the vast peat bogs, producing a malt that is peaty and smoky with sometimes a touch of iodine.

These tend to be a cross between some of the Islay malts - peaty and smoky - and the highlands mellow with lots of flavour.
