Speyside Distillery Information

Generally the favourite starting point for any would be distillery visitors, mainly because there are so many of them to see! We hope you enjoy our first bottlings, which have all been selected from our personal preferences.

BENRIACH

No visitor centre, but is usually open for tours during the local whisky festivals. We have done the tour with the distillery manager, what a great time we had.

Founded 1897, with the sister distillery Longmorn already open, again this distillery has a very chequered past. Currently owned by a South African group, we really like the different malts on offer here, and (sadly) also the labelling!

There are future plans to re-instate the floor maltings.

CRAIGELLACHIE

Founded in 1891. Not independent, owned by John Dewar and Sons, and found in Dewars White Label.

Craigellachie is home to the famous Highlander Inn and the Craigellachie Hotel, plus the oldest landlord in the world at the Fiddichside Inn. Happy memories!!

The malt from this distillery is eminently palatable also. Enjoy.

GLEN KEITH

Despite only being founded in 1957, this distillery has been mothballed since 2000. Owned by Chivas brothers, and found in the blends Chivas Regal,Passport and 100 pipers.
